INTRODUCTION LIBRARY
The library of Children’s Hospital & the Institute of Child Health came into existence in 1998. The Library has continuously being improved not only as a collection of books, but also as an instrument for the assistance of study and research. The library has acquired and developed variety of resources to support the teaching and research programs offered at the Children’s Hospital and the Institute of Child Health. There are specific nature of materials to fulfill the requirement of users. BUILDING OF THE LIBRARY The library is situated at The Diagnostic Block of The Children Hospital & the Institute of Child health 3rd floor opposite Bone Marrow Transplant Department. The timing of the Library staff and library users are From.8:00AM to10:00PM. We also have the Intuitional libraries, the main library, Allied School of Health Sciences Library Nursing School Library. SUBJECT Almost books of 40 different subjects & variety of journals are available in this library.

LIBRARY RULES & REGULATIONS
The General rules Included. are:
- Smoking is not permitted in the library
- Consumption of food and drinks is not permitted in the Library.
- Silence must be observed strictly in the Library.
- Users must conduct themselves properly in the Library.
- The Library staff on duty has the right to request a user to leave the premises if he is found to be violating any of the Library rules.
- The Library timing is from 8:00 AM to 10: MP.
- The library will not accept responsibility for the loss or misplacement of personal belongings of the library users.
- The Library committee may amend the library rules & regulations as and when necessary.
LOAN RULES.
- Only doctors working in Children’s Hospital can use Library material.
- No books or library material may be brought out of the library without issuance.
- Library material borrowed must be returned on or before the due date.
- The normal loan period for books is one month. The library however, may fix varying loan period for different type of material or users.
- Clearance Certificate on leaving the hospital will not be issued to any member till the recovery of all the books.
LIBRARY SERVICES FOR USERS
E-Library High speed Committed Information Rate (CIR) link with free access of e-books, journals, research papers and other online learning material is available in the E-Library. The latest computers, scanners and printers are also provided to facilitate the students and doctors. Wi-Fi link is also available for online access on portable devices like laptop and tablets etc. REFERENCE SERVICE THROUGH HELPDEASK Active specialized helpdesk has been setup provide to depth reference and research support. Helpdesk provides services from 8:00 AM to 10: 00 PM in all working days. INSTRUCTIONAL SUPPORT The library generates subject bibliographies of the available resources for instructional support. These bibliographies are delivered to the faculty and to the students for their research projects and assignments.
