It gives me an immense pleasure to be associated with the University of Child Health Sciences, the first of its kind in the world. The concept of this university focused on child health is unique and whilst we are a budding University, our mission is to establish a center of excellence in the field of child health. We are building upon our vision of a professionally focused institution providing integrity, compassion, intellectual freedom to our students who we believe are the future leaders in this field.
The Children’s Hospital, a constituent hospital of the university is one of the largest hospitals on the globe providing specialized facilities to children referred from all over the country. Our aim is to act as a model institution to alleviate the suffering of children with any illness through the application of modern methods of curative and palliative treatment. The Children’s Hospital was the 1st public sector institution to start professional degree courses in various Allied Health Disciplines, like Doctor of Physical Therapy and B.Sc. (Hons) in Medical Imaging Technology, Medical Laboratory Technology, Dental Technology, Speech & Language Pathology, Occupational Therapy, and Operation Theater Technology
This year, under the umbrella of the University of Child Health Sciences, we are increasing our prospects byintroducing five new B.Sc. (Hons) Allied Health Programs in Human Nutrition & Dietetics,Anesthesia Technology, Neurophysiology, Clinical Psychology and Cardiac Perfusion Sciences. We have the best infrastructure, faculty, clinical material, research opportunities and prospects of a brilliant future prospect with a well-developed curriculum and conducive teaching and training environment.
